Front End Architect - Svelte

Together Labs is seeking a Staff/Principal level Front End Architect to help IMVU deliver an amazing 3D interactive browser-based experience to over 7 million monthly active users. Here you will work with and guide other skilled engineers to migrate our legacy codebase to Svelte.js while using the same to build out new features and infrastructure.
This role will work very closely with our visual designers and user experience experts to design products that are both impactful and that provide a satisfying experience to our users.
Architect and implement best practices for building a responsive Web App driven by a Rest API that runs in all the major web browsers available on Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android as well as Electron.
In-depth knowledge of Svelte and SvelteKit or React.
Set and define the standards and best practices for the Web team.
Be the point of reference for solving a challenging technical problem.
Must love coding – prepare to spend up to 75% of the time on hands-on development with development teams.
Enjoys the challenge of migrating a legacy code based to a new web infrastructure.
A BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
At least 10 years experience as a software engineer developing RESTful applications.
At least 3 years experience developing a Web Application using React or Svelte.
At least 1 year experience developing an Electron Web Application.
A firm grasp of fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis.
Communicate your ideas and improvements when appropriate to support the customer and the business in a clear and concise manner.
Proactive sense of urgency and “can-do” attitude.
A technical leader: you make intuitive decisions about what services, frameworks, and capabilities need to be in place before they are needed.
Familiarity with Backbone, Handlebars, SASS or other adjacent technologies.
Knowledge of the latest development trends from mobile web, including modular design, accessibility, and site performance.
Working knowledge of cross platform/browser compatibility issues (Edge, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
Worked with or have the desire to work in test driven development.
Experience working with a RESTful LAMP stack.
A general knowledge of caching fundamentals.
Made contributions to open source projects.
The ability to mentor other engineers and the willingness to learn from others.
Interest in online communities, games, or 3d graphics.
