The Role 

We are seeking an experienced Javascript Software Engineer who has a proven track record of success. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team. As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing universal frameworks like NextJS and Sveltekit. You should have a strong background in TypeScript and React, as well as a thorough understanding of web development best practices.

This is a fully remote position. 

Areas of Responsibility 

  • Develop and maintain high-quality applications using universal frameworks like NextJS and Sveltekit, supersets like TypeScript, and other modern web technologies

  • Implement A11y-compliant code using best practices, including semantic HTML, and attributed interactions that can be effectively communicated by a screen reader.

  • Work with the back-end team to build isomorphic applications that deliver high performance and scalability

  • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to ensure that user experience and functionality meet business requirements

  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and scalability of the application

  • Participate in code reviews, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure code quality

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Capabilities 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing applications with JavaScript

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React – bonus points if you have experience with Svelte

  • Experience building isomorphic applications using frameworks such as NextJS and Sveltekit

  • Strong understanding of CSS and Sass

  • Strong understanding of web development best practices, including performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility

  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
